About The Band

Rebellious Celtic folk in the PNW. Performing rebel songs, drinking songs and songs for rebels who are drinking.

  • Diana Leonard

    Vocals, Back-up Percussion

Diana Leonard had her start in the world of music at a young age, performing as part of the children's chorus in the prestigious Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Her passion for performing arts led her to attend the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS), where she learned music theory and specialized as a vocal major for three years. Since then, Diana has lent her voice to several school and community choirs, most recently in the symphonic-sized Community Chorale at Lewis & Clark College. Meanwhile, her first experience with Renaissance Faire was as a guest and subsequently a member of The Black Gryphon guild at the Ojai Ren Faire in Ventura County, California. Diana joins Rabble & Sage primarily as a vocalist while also providing back-up percussion on the tambourine, and she hopes to add more instruments to her bandolier soon.

    Morgan Buck

    Guitar, Mandolin, Whistle, Vocals

Morgan is a lifelong performer, wobbling awkwardly on the stage from the age of 5. She is a serial dabbler in musical instruments and thoroughly addicted to making music. Rabble and Sage forced her to finally sit down and practice instead of picking up another new instrument (it would have been a rotary-valve flugelhorn … or maybe the banjo? )

  • Mackenzie Jamieson

    Mackenzie Jamieson

    Fiddle, Vocals

Mackenzie’s musical journey began at age of six, not in the lively world of jigs and reels, but in the disciplined realm of classical violin. Inspired by her mother’s love of Irish music, at twelve, she traded Paganini for Irish tunes, Mozart for jigs, her polished tone for a lively twang. Decades later, in Los Angeles, she joined in the energetic Celtic band "Sportive Tricks." With her fiddle singing alongside guitars, bodhráns, and bouzoukis, Mackenzie's music blossomed. Sadly, she had to say goodbye to her band family in Los Angeles as she moved up to the PNW in 2020. While her time with “Sportive Tricks” may have come to an end, Mackenzie's musical journey continues with “Rabble and Sage.”

  • Lorreina Guyett

    Bodhran, Vocals

Lorreina’s drum is the beating heart of Rabble and Sage’s revolutionary spirit! Lorreina comes from a long line of activists. Her grandmother was a union organizer and her grandfather worked within the Chicano rights movement to bring greater education equity to Latine students. A relative newcomer to Renaissance Faire performance, Lorreina also participates in Baile Folklorico and community organization.

  • Adam Shippey

    Bass Guitar, Vocals

Meet our band member, Adam, whose passion for music was influenced by his mother, a professional vocalist who began teaching him to sing from a young age. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood, he further honed his skills under the guidance of various vocal coaches. At the tender age of 9, he lent his voice to several children's book recording projects, an experience that deepened his love for music. In addition, he showcased his talent by performing with various local musical theater groups throughout his young adulthood. As an adult, he maintains a private music practice, composing songs when inspiration strikes and collaborating with friends on interesting projects. Rabble and Sage has been a passion project for him and he's thrilled about the journey ahead.
